The Field is the primary electronic music project of Axel Willner, a Swedish electronic music producer and DJ who is widely recognized as a pioneering figure in modern microhouse, minimal techno, and ambient music. Born in Stockholm and later based in Berlin, Willner has been active under this alias since 2003, establishing a reputation for a highly distinct and influential production style. His foundational technique relies on micro-sampling, a process where he cuts tiny
