iwrestledabearonce was an American experimental metal / mathcore / metalcore band from Shreveport, Louisiana, active from 2007 to 2016. Their sound fused avant-garde metal, grindcore, progressive metal, jazz, and electronic elements, known for chaotic structures, abrupt tempo shifts, and melodic interludes. The band debuted with their self-titled EP in 2007 via Tragic Hero Records, followed by the full-length It's All Happening (2009) through Century Media.
