The music on this album was originally released as three separate 1952 albums - Lester Young with the Oscar Peterson Trio, Vol. 1, Lester Young with the Oscar Peterson Trio, Vol. 2, and The Pres-Ident Plays with Oscar Peterson. It was collated for this 1997 reissue by Verve Records.
