1) Watchtower is an American progressive metal band from Austin, Texas, originally active between 1982 and 1993. The band has reunited periodically since 1999. Watchtower has released two studio albums, "Energetic Disassembly" (1985) and "Control and Resistance" (1989), along with one compilation album, four digital singles, one EP, and three demo cassettes. They have also contributed to various compilation albums.
The group is known for its complex musical style, drawing influence from progressive rock and the new wave of British heavy metal.
